Jason E. Mudd, MD



Dr. Mudd was born in Tennessee and shortly thereafter moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was raised in the Albuquerque area and graduated from St. Pius X high School. He then attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Mudd then transferred to the University of New Mexico and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in chemistry. While at the University of New Mexico, Dr. Mudd worked as a student intern at Sandia National Laboratories. He co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in the field of chemical engineering.

Dr. Mudd then attended medical school at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine where he graduated second in his class. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and was awarded the senior academic achievement award.

Dr. Mudd elected to pursue a career in otolaryngology and completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. During his residency he performed research in the field of laryngology and was awarded the 2nd place poster presentation award at the Combined Otolaryngology Section Meeting in 2009 for his research on collagen injections in the vocal fold. He also participated in many quality improvement projects that included improvement in EMR implementation.

After completing residency, Dr. Mudd joined Head and Neck Surgeons of New Mexico and is happy to be back home. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, cooking, skiing, and mountain biking. Dr. Mudd focuses on voice disorders and pediatrics, but his training has provided him with expertise in all areas of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and he will see patients of all ages.


Raymond C. Matteucci, MD, FACS

Dr. Matteucci is board certified in Otolaryngology and sees patients with sinus, voice and hearing concerns.

Barry D. Nagel, MD, FACS

Dr. Nagel is double board certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastics and sees patients with sinus, voice and thyroid concerns as well as facial plastics consults.

Allyson Ray, MD, FACS  


Dr. Ray is double board certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastics and sees patients with siinus and thyroid concerns as well as facial plastics consults.

Selena Liao, MD

Dr. Liao received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Oregon Health & Sciences University and then did additional fellowship training in Endocrine (Thyroid and Parathyroid) Surgery with Dr. Maisie Shindo. She is board certified in Otolaryngology and sees patients with a broad range of ear, nose/sinus, and throat concerns, with a focus on thyroid and parathyroid.

Randall Loch, MD

Dr. Loch attended medical school at Loma Linda University in California.  He then completed his otolaryngology residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital.  After completing residency, Dr. loch joined Head and Neck Surgeons of New Mexico.  He enjoys exploring national parks, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking with his wife and their golden retriever.  

Dr. Loch has an interest in hearing loss, sinus and nasal problems, and general ear, nose, and throat concerns. 

Pamela Daffern, MD


Dr. Daffern is the primary Allergist at Sinus and Allergy Specialist if NM, the newest service being offered to our patients. She has over 20 years experience treating allergies both in Albuquerque and Richmond, VA. She was recently added to the directory of Best Doctors on America, which represents the top 5% of physicians that other physicians would seek care from.


Terry Sankovitz, AuD

Dr. Terri Sankovitz has 30 plus years of Diagnostic Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing experience. Dr. Sankovitz earned her Masters of Science degree in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in May, 1983 and followed with her doctorate from A.T. Still University in August of 2016. Dr. Sankovitz is licensed to practice Audiology in Wisconsin and New Mexico. She has worked as a Clinical Dispensing Audiologist in several audiological settings including major medical centers, nursing homes and private practice ENT offices.

Dr. Sankovitz specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing and balance disorders in children and adults. She has been licensed to dispense hearing aids since May, 1983. She dispenses hearing devices from most major manufacturers including Signia, Phonak, Oticon, Starkey, Widex, Cochlear (BAHA) and ReSound. Dr. Sankovitz regularly attends technology training sessions with most manufacturers so she can provide up to date hearing aid fitting and repair service.

She is a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiologists.

Dr. Sankovitz enjoys gardening, spending time with her adult children and is an award winning long arm quilter when not in the office.
